AG-2 General Agriculture
The larger-scale agricultural district requiring a minimum 1-acre (43,560 sf) lot. AG-2 allows a broader range of agricultural operations than AG-1, with the same 20% coverage limit and 25-ft height cap. Residential use remains incidental to agricultural operations, not the primary permitted activity.
Common locations: Central Oahu agricultural lands, Kunia Plain, Ewa Plain agricultural parcels, Waialua, and large rural holdings on the Waianae Coast.
Development standards
| Standard | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Minimum lot area | 43,560 sf |

| Rear yard | 10 ft min |
| Interior side yard | 10 ft min |
| Street-side yard | 20 ft min |
| Max lot coverage | 20% |

The 43,560 sf (1-acre) minimum lot area is the defining constraint. Subdivisions below 1 acre are not permitted under standard AG-2 rules. Agricultural use must remain the primary activity — residential structures are permitted only as incidental to the farming operation.
